Use the width field deliberately
The stencil maker accepts widths from 100 to 190 millimeters. That number sets the overall SVG page width, including a small border, not just the dark cut shapes.
Measure the intended area on the pumpkin and leave room around the pattern. If your printer cannot handle the selected page size, choose a smaller width or use a print setup that supports it.
Check the print dialog
Choose actual size or 100 percent where the printer offers it. “Fit,” “shrink to printable area,” and borderless options can alter scale. The dashed border makes unwanted cropping easier to notice.
After printing, measure the width of the page design with a ruler. If it differs materially from the number you entered, change the print settings and try again.
Keep the source file
An SVG stays crisp when opened in a compatible vector editor. Save the downloaded file before making variations. A copy can be annotated for where to start, where to stop, or which parts to simplify.
Avoid rasterizing it at a tiny size and then enlarging that raster image; the fine edges become harder to trace.
Use paper as the final gate
The browser preview helps choose a pattern but cannot know your pumpkin curvature or printer settings. Fit the paper to the actual surface before transferring.
If the shape does not sit well, adjust the scale or choose another pattern. This small check is more useful than relying on a nominal measurement alone.
